Fleet Driver Training |

Andy Kinsey - Driver Training |
You may have heard recent figures, that every year on the roads of Britain, over 3,000 people die as a result of a road traffic accident. |
An alarming number of those accidents involve vehicles on company business, whether it be delivery vans, sales trips, engineer visits or any other journey that an employee makes whilst ‘in the workplace’. |
The ‘workplace’ is seen not only as the office or factory floor, but also vehicles used for company business (not necessarily ‘company cars’) and risk assessments are now required to ensure that a company makes reasonably practicable efforts to manage this area. |
As is true in other areas of Health and Safety law, if a company neglects to take steps to manage these risks, then serious repercussions can happen should a work related accident occur. |

As a Fleet Driver Training Instructor, I can work with a company and its employees to carry out this risk assessment and help reduce the possibility of accidents occurring by using practical and theoretical training techniques. |
Sessions with employees typically take the form of: |
A 10-15 min observed drive of the employee; |
Feedback and practical help if needed to encourage safer driving. |
This is by no means a Driving Test and Employees are not treated as novices on the road. |
In addition, if necessary, certain structured techniques can be introduced to encourage: |
Defensive and Advanced driving techniques; |
Hazard awareness and the procedure to deal with them; |
Eco-friendly driving to reduce fuel and maintenance costs. |
In conclusion, some of the benefits of continued training can be: |
Implementation of HSE required workplace risk assessments |
Reduced fuel and running cost bills for your fleet; |
Reduced Employee sickness and downtime through accident prevention; |
Reduced Company driver insurance premiums. |
I would be very happy to discuss any of the above with you and would be willing to come in and give you a FREE demonstration of the training used and its benefits. |
